“I can’t believe the movie was sold out,” Tif complained as she and Kinsey walked up to the front door of the condo building. They’d tried to catch an evening showing of “Disturbia”, but it’d sold out before their part of the line even got close to the counter.

“It probably sucks anyway,” Kinsey said. They’d struck out for a girl’s night two hours earlier. After eating sushi until they were stuffed, they’d decided to catch a movie, but had made the unfortunate choice to see one that had just opened the day before. Taylor and Isaac had been locked in the middle of a song-writing binge for the better part of the day over at Isaac and Tif’s apartment. Zac had bailed claiming to be too hungry to go on, and had left them just before dinnertime.

“Doubt it,” Tif laughed, “But at least this way we can just veg out in front of the TV.”

“That sounds perfect,” Kinsey said, wanting nothing more than to lie down until the fullness in her stomach subsided. They headed inside and went straight for the living room. Kinsey stepped inside the dark room, laughing at something Tif had just said, and felt for the light switch on the wall to her left.

A loud shriek sounded as soon as the lights came on and a loud thump sounded as someone lept over the arm of the couch, leaving Zac shirtless and blushing as he kneeled on the couch.

“Whoa,” Kinsey laughed, “I didn’t know you were going to be here.”

“I thought you guys were going to a movie,” he said hurriedly.

“It was sold out,” Tif said, trying not to laugh.

“We’ll be going now,” Kinsey chimed in, grabbing Tif by the arm and raising an eyebrow at Zac as they left. They fought back their laughter all the way to front door, but once they were outside, they cracked up.

“Well that was interesting,” Tif said, “Looks like Zaccy’s been working out.”

“I think he has,” Kinsey laughed, “Did you see the girl?”

“No, but I’m sure you can get the details from him later.”

After the front door slammed shut, Zac finally relaxed and crawled for the end of the couch.

“You can come out now,” Zac said, smiling.

“Do you think they saw me?”

“No, they would have said something.”

“Are you sure?”

“Brenna, Kinsey’s my best friend. If she knew she’d just caught me with you, she would have started yelling at me immediately,” he said, “Now get back up here.”
